The advertisement that I chose a commercial for xbox kinect called "Kinect Sports: Season Two.
The techniques of pursuasion that are used in this commercial are friends, fun, and celebrity.
Friends: This advertisement shows a group of people (friends) doing things together.
Fun: People doing fun things together. Everyone in the commercial are smiling/laughing.
Celebrity: There is a famous person in the commercial (Selena Gomez).
I think that those techniques were used to make people think that the game is entertaining and fun. And also they are trying to pursuade people by a celebrity. Selena has lots of fans and they want them to buy it because Selena is using it.
This commercial is effective in pursuading the viewers because it made me want to buy this game. It looks very fun especially if you are playing with your friends.

Techniques of Persuasion
Persuasion is when you are trying to convince someone.
Techniques of Persuasion:
Humor- Advertisements that would make viewer laugh.
Macho- Mostly males that are strong, powerful, and tough.
Friends- Advertisements that show a group of people doing fun things together.
Family- Mother, father and children doing things together.
Fun- People doing fun things. Everyone are laughing and smiling.
Nature- Shows outdoor settings.
Sexy- Usually female(model) wearing revealing clothes.
Cartoon- Animations of people or animals.
Celebrity- Someone famous(Athlete, actor/actress, musicians, and politicians).
Wealth- Expensive things or places are in the advertisement.

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The topic that I chose to do my research on is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This organazation helps children that has medical conditions.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 after a little boy named Chris Greicius realized his heartfelt wish to become a police officer. Since its humble beginnings, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 250,000 children around the world.
"Make-A-Wish makes a huge difference in kids’ lives. When there isn’t a cure, there is still something positive in their lives to look forward to." (Joanne)
According to Make-A-Wish Canada, their mission is to grant the wishes of children (2½ years to 17 years old) that has disabilites .
"We grant wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy."
This organization helps a lot of children that has disabilities.They help children with medical conditions. They give joy to a lot of kids and families. They inspire kids to follow their dreams. You can help by donating and volunteering time & talents.

Photo Analysis
I chose the picture of Lucy Johnson I think that the author/photographer wants you to think that she is a well-respected woman, nice, friendly, trustworthy, and rich.
Camera angle: The picture was taken above eye level.
Proximity: It is medium proximity.
Lightning: It has a sufficient light.
Background: The background in this picture is not really important. It is just a plain color background.
Wardrobe: She wearing something simple. I think that she is dressed like that to show that she is just like everybody else.
This picture makes me feel jealous because she is the daughter of the president. She has expensive jewelry and clothes. But I think that the author is trying to show the viewer that she is just like us.
